The bushes in front of our house were over grown and had to go. I thought a planter would take care
of the steep grade on the east side of the house. The stone planter on the west side would hopefully
counter-balance the weight of the east planter.
This project was done intuitively for the most part. I got a hardware store book on landscaping, bought some rock and started digging footings.
It wasn't real hard. You just have to be patient. I probably carried and placed every stone
in that wall at least 3 times.
It turned out good. If I did it again I wouldn't build the higher wall on the east side. There's probably a reason why I did it, but I don't remember what it was.
